Alpha-blikk ehf is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations and using resources responsibly. Our Environmental & Sustainability Policy guides our daily work, from material use and waste management to energy efficiency and employee training.
Our Commitments
- Separate metal waste by material type and send it for recycling.
- Reduce material waste through careful planning and efficient use of resources.
- Handle coolants, oils and hazardous waste safely, using authorised waste handlers.
- Reduce unnecessary energy and water consumption.
- Prevent pollution through maintenance, appropriate ventilation and regular checks.
- Train employees and continually improve environmental practices.
Our targets
Our policy sets the following targets:
- Sort and recycle at least 90% of metal waste.
- Reduce energy consumption per unit of output by 5–10% over the three years following the policy’s adoption.
- Ensure all hazardous waste is transferred to authorised waste handlers and recorded.
- Train all employees on the policy within six months of its approval.
- Review the policy at least every two years.
- These are policy targets, rather than a statement of results already achieved.
